May I ask, do you rely on wicking even for seedlings/seeds or water from the top to get very young seedlings started?
Hi Lisa, great question. I usually water from the top to get the seedlings started until they are looking fairly robust. Seeds I always water from the top but only those that are needing to be directly sown like beans, carrots and beetroot. Other seeds I grow in my empty egg cartons until ready to transplant.
Amazing !!!
Thanks, Daphne. Looking a little bare today but hoping to plant out soon!
Got some seeds started inside and Can’t wait to plant out!!
Interesting Melissa, thanks for your tips xx
You’re welcome, Tori!
Loving getting in the garden now that it’s getting warmer and the sunshine is popping out! Thanks for the tour, I know you have much much more in that front yard. The back garden is a gem too. All those juicy figs to come this summer! Melissa is one of my favourite underrated medicinal herbs and your namesake. Bouna Notte
