Me too! I’ve spent my life supporting others ( and will continue to do so) but I see the importance of directing that love and self care back in towards myself. It’s time to refill my bucket!
I’ve been doing lots of nature walks, lots of yin yoga (I’m not disciplined enough to do it at home so go to classes at Kozen… such awesome teachers!), body work ( I’m a glutton for it), nourishing food, detoxification, lots of downtime to reflect, deep and meaningful books, movies, beauty maintenance,
GP health check, pathology, Naturopath, Optometrist appointments.
I’m also taking time to do things I love that bring me joy and happiness
Love these, Joanne. I have been so much better this year and still will continue… it’s been a shift to do so but a really good one. looking forward to some walks and some self care while the kids are both at school next year too.
Self Care can be tricky as a busy mum, however it is essential. Surrounding ourselves with a positive supportive clan is a must…Walking in nature, early to bed, filtered water, herbs, organic food, homeopathics, movement classes, massages or osteopath when my body aches, giving to others, community, hugs….Becoming un busy…I must learn to say NO…I also turn off the news…
Thanks, Bronwyn. These are wonderful ways for self care. Reminds me that I do do a lot of this.. although early to bed I struggle with. I also am slowly becoming Better at saying no…. sometimes. Looking forward to some more walks in nature in 2019. Mx
